The Great Central Railway is delighted to announce the opening of Ellis Tea Room at Rothley station. This former corn store has stood disused for many years but thanks to the work of the David Clarke Railway Trust and project manager Tony Sparks it is now a fully operational cafe.

It is open Sunday to Thursday 10am to 4.30pm (closed Friday) serving light lunches, home made cakes, speciality teas and coffees, ice creams and so on. Sit inside or out, on running days watch the big trains go past - at weekends children will be enchanted by the garden railway.

The cafe is fully accessible for wheelchair users and there is a wheeled access toilet at the rear of the building (soon to be complete with baby change facilities).

Drop in, chill out and Ellis's!
