Collecting the Goods - A mini gala! - Saturday 15 May 2010 to Sunday 16 May 2010

A BRAND NEW EVENT FOR 2010: TIMETABLES NOW ON LINE

Join us for a weekend with FOUR steam locomotives and a diesel in action and a busy timetable featuring a whole host of freight trains.

The GCR moved lots of people on its main line to London – and lots of freight too. Find out how the railways kept the country supplied at this event. Watch a pick up goods train going from station to station, a mixed frieght with different types of wagon and a parcels train too.
Packages being loaded and unloaded at Quorn and Woodhouse station.

An hourly passenger timetable will apply with special fares. Full working timetable with freight trains will appear here soon.
