Enjoy a guided walk with courtesy of Charnwood Borough Council and the Great Central Railway.

Those who want to go back on the train to Rothley at this stage can do so. Others can take a break before continuing on over the fields, via Swithland to Rothley.
Total walking distance is 4 or 8 miles.
There will be refreshments available at Quorn and Rothley Stations as well as on the train, and those taking advantage of this walk will be able to continue to travel on the trains after the walk. Please note that train times may vary slightly.
Anyone taking part in the guided walk can travel at a specially discounted rate of £5 per adult and £3 per child ALL DAY.
The normal GCR Summer timetable is in operation today. Departures at quarter past the hour (most of the day) from Loughborough, and on the hour (for most of the day) from Leicester North.

The following information about the guided walks programme is provided by the council:
These walks are lead by members of the community, with the assistance of Council staff, or by members of Leisure Services who are health and fitness professionals. Comfortable shoes are essential, some may require walking boots. For any information on any of these walks, or any other community lead walks, please contact Leisure Services on 01509 634836. Please turn up 15 minutes early if you are attending your first walk with Charnwood Borough council, as we have a requirement for all new walkers to complete a health questionnaire as part of our accreditation to Walking For Health.
