The year is 1925. Loughborough’s new mayor – Mr Meaner, arrives to open the new platform when he is …….murdered. Anyone trying to leave the platform would have been spotted – so the murderer must have boarded to 7.00pm Express! But whodunit?

Was it the local French teacher Fleur Timere? Or the parish priest Father O’Dere? Does the affable train driver Bernie Cole have something to hide? With the circus in town, why does the ventriloquist have nothing to say? And why couldn’t the psychic see it coming?

The murderer will escape justice if you don’t work out ‘whodunit’ before 10.45pm, when the train returns to Loughborough.

Served aboard our 7:30 pm departure from Loughborough selected Fridays. Please arrive at Loughborough for 7:00pm

Pan-fried mushrooms tossed in a garlic cream sauce, served with garlic bread

An extensive range of wines, beers and spirits
is available for purchase from the Steward.

A vegetarian alternative is available, which must be ordered when booking.

Your five course dinner is served aboard our First Class Restaurant Cars as one of our historic main line steam locomotives takes you on a leisurely journey through the Leicestershire countryside.

The train departs from Loughborough Central at 7.30 p.m., returning at 10.45 p.m.

Your meal is served during the journey and there will be an interlude at the delightfully atmospheric Rothley station complete with original Edwardian gas lights.

Please Note: Some scenes take place on station platforms so some warm clothing may be advisable.
