Easter Vintage Festival 29th March – 1st April
All aboard for Great Central Railway’s Easter Vintage Festival! Get ready to step back in time … it’s good old fashioned family fun and for just £30 for a family of 5, it’s good old fashioned value too! Guest locomotives include 6023, ‘King Edward II’ and ‘Gervase’
Brake van rides with Sentinel steam loco, 7109, Gervase. For just £1 take a brake van ride from Loughborough Central to the signal section at Charnwood Water and back

There will be a good selection of real ales and ciders on offer from Nottingham Brewery. The real ale tent will open at 12 pm - 11 pm on Good Friday, 11 am – 5 pm on Saturday, 12pm – 5 pm on Sunday and 11am – 5 pm on Monday.

Come and browse through a wide variety of craft and trade stands from vintage clothing through to modern tools! There’s plenty to choose from!

Friday night from 7pm, with ‘The Roosters’ (further details below**). Hot food will be available and real ale will be flowing!

This is the organ’s first show outing since 1923! It will be providing traditional organ music throughout the event

Witness a spectacle guaranteed to delight all! There will be a village traction engine road run through Quorn which will finish at The Quorndon Fox pub

The cafe will be open from 9am every day and will be serving refreshments from breakfast baps, teas and coffees, through to delicious homemade cakes

There will be a selection of traditional and modern children’s fairground rides (not included in ticket price)
At Leicester North
> Vintage Fayre at Greenacres - Sunday 31st March & Monday 1st April only – Let us take you down memory lane to revisit those cherised times.
There will be a variety of craft & trade stalls to include: Vintage clothing, jewellery, Chinaware, handmade textiles, confectionery, photography and old fashioned cakes as well as real ale on sale. There will also be live music from La Bellaukulele on Sunday and Harmony Bells on Monday. For the kids there will be a vintage ice cream van, face painting, colouring corner and bouncy castle. The cafe will also be serving lovely homemade food.

The event starts at 10am – 6pm each day with the first train departing from Loughborough at 10.00am.
**Friday Night Live Gig with ‘The Roosters’
On Friday night Quorn gates open again at 6.30pm with a knees up in the real ale tent with live music from The Roosters, playing no-nonsense covers of classic songs from the “golden age” of pop music, the sixties, the seventies and the eighties. To purchase tickets (£5pp or 10 for £40) please call into the marketing office (opposite the booking office) or call 01509 632315/07710 934788. The vintage fairground rides will also operating into the evening and we will be serving hot food. Join us for a boogie, a pint and a ride on the Gallopers!

NB: All tickets include unlimited rail travel and all entertainment except the funfairs at Rothley & Quorn.
1. Entrance tickets to Quorn for the festival alone (not including travel) are priced at £5pp – if you hand your ticket in when booking a travel ticket this £5 can be deducted from the price of the travel ticket
2. Purchase of a rail ticket guarantees free entry into Quorn festival
3. Return, single and short hop tickets will not be available, except after 3.30pm when they will become available at the normal rates.
4. Normal discounted fares apply for members of Friends of Great Central Main Line (Valid membership cards must be shown)
5. Heritage Railway Association passes will not be valid for this event.
6. Members of other heritage railways with whom GCR has reciprocal arrangements for reduced fares, will be eligible for Privilege fares.
7. Same arrangements apply as in 6. above for holders of ex British Rail and Train Operating Company passes.
NOTE: Gala programmes are available for £1 (while stocks last)
Loughborough: Free on street parking is widely available
Quorn: The station yard and car park is for disabled badge holders only. Limited on-street car parking is available in the vicinity of Quorn station.
Rothley: There is very limited free car parking in the station yard due to the children’s funfair.
Leicester North: There is limited free car parking on the immediate approach to the station.
All locomotives and attractions appear subject to availability.
