Product Description

The Great Central Railway’s ‘London Extension’ was built in 1899, to a high standard and to the continental loading gauge, the intention being to link Manchester with the Continent through a projected Channel Tunnel.  Sadly, much of the line south of Nottingham ran through sparsely populated areas and duplicated many existing routes.
