Beer Festival – Thurs 14 to Sun 17 Sept

Great Central Railway's annual beer festival returns for its eleventh year and is better than ever! Take your taste buds on a sentimental journey at the award winning line’s 4-day beer festival. This year SEVENTY guest beers & ciders, are on offer specially selected from different breweries.

Trains are running on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The festival starts on Thursday 14th at midday.

It costs just £3 to enter but best of all it's FREE to anyone buying a ticket to travel on the steam trains that weekend!  With live music and hot food on offer it’s set to be a great weekend.  CHEERS!
GCR’s normal train fares apply with an adult runabout for just £16.

From 12pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday until late there will be Bratwurst served on Loughborough platform.  Our station Buffet will also be open.
On Thursday, our Buffet will be open from 2 pm to 8 pm

QUORN & WOODHOUSE - LARGE BAR & LIVE MUSIC

Take a trip down memory lane on Friday, Saturday & Sunday to Quorn & Woodhouse station; there’s a variety of traction engines, plus classic and vintage vehicles, on display.

From 12pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday until late there will be curry available.  Butler-Henderson café will also be open from 10am to 4pm for homemade sandwiches, hot food, cakes and drinks.

Rothley - SMALL BAR
Friday - 12pm to 5pm
Saturday - 11am to 5pm
Sunday - 12pm to 5pm

Food
Ellis's tearoom will be open from 10am to 4pm daily for homemade sandwiches, hot food, cakes and drinks. Also the Station tearoom on the Platform will be open.

LOCOMOTIVES

FridayOne steam locomotive (9F 92214) and visiting Class 26 D5343.

Saturday and Sunday: Two steam locomotives (9F 92214 and Ivatt Class 2 46521) - visiting Hymek D7017 and Class 26 D5343 will be in action.

 

BREWERIES & BEERS
Our beers will include ones from: Church End, Vale, Whitstable, Pennine, Muirhouse, Charnwood, Hippy Killer, Lytham, Batemans, Banks & Taylor, Heritage, Nethergate, Goffs, Ossett, Fernandes, Clark's, Flipside, Magpie, Grafton, Dukeries, Shipstones, Nottingham, Milestone, Corvedale, Titanic, Littleover, Stockport, Full Mash, Scribblers, Pentrich, White Horse, Whim, Double Top.

Ciders will be sourced from BroadOak, Thirsty Farmer & Bottle Kicking
