Bonfire Night Tue 5th November
We’ve a fantastic fire, a huge firework display, refreshments and children’s rides. It’s a magical night out for all the family. It’s one of the biggest and best shows in Leicestershire so come along and join in the fun. You can arrive at the gate – or even better, travel in heritage style by train from Loughborough, Rothley or Leicester North station. Combine the magic of a train ride and a sensational fire work display – see you there!
FOGCML rates are £7 Adult, £5 Children both on the gate at Quorn and from any other station (inc train fare)
TRAVEL BY TRAIN TO AND FROM THE BONFIRE AND FIREWORKS – Please arrive in good time to buy tickets and go to the platform before train departure time
You are strongly advised to travel by one of our trains to this event. If you use the earlier trains you can avoid the crowds and the last minute rush! More trains have been added to the timetable this year.

VIEWING THE BONFIRE AND FIREWORKS – Bonfire lit at 7.30pm & firework display at 8pm
There will be a larger viewing area than in previous years. Please keep behind the fencing at all times. Because of the narrowness of the area leading to the pedestrian crossing of the railway line, we ask all visitors not to stop and view the display from the fenced areas either side of the crossing or from the crossing itself. A separately fenced and stewarded area for disabled, with seating, is provided.
We will have something for everyone.
Butler Henderson cafe is open selling hot and cold drinks and light bites.
A real ale tent will be on site, near our Butler-Henderson cafe. The beer this year is Extra Pale Ale from Nottingham Brewery at 4.2%. There’ll also be wines, canned lager and soft drinks.
The atmospheric 1940’s station tea room will be open on the platform and in the station yard there will be a variety of outdoor catering stalls.
There will be fairground rides at this event for which a small extra charge is made
For safety reasons, please do not bring sparklers or fireworks into the event. There will be an auxiliary fire tender in attendance. The First Aid point will be adjacent to the beer tent. If you need directions, please ask one of the many stewards at the event.
Car parking on site is very limited with a priority area for disabled. No cars admitted after 7 pm. The local authority will be placing no waiting restrictions on local roads in the immediate vicinity. However, there is on street parking at Loughborough, a small car park at Rothley and a limited parking area at Leicester North.
AFTER THE EVENT
There will be several trains returning to our other stations. To avoid the busiest trains, you are encouraged to visit the fairground, catering outlets and soak up the atmosphere of the bonfire embers and catch a later train home where possible.
