Bus Rally and Heritage Bus Running Day – Saturday 21st April 2018

Join us for the Bus Rally and Heritage Bus Running Day - Saturday 21st April 2018 run in association with Leicester Transport Heritage Trust.

We are repeating our successful bus rally and running day in conjunction with  Leicester Transport Heritage Trust.
- Free entrance to the bus rally, which will be open from 10am to 5pm.
- Historic buses and heritage vehicles on display in Quorn & Woodhouse station yard.
- Bus and transport-related stalls at Quorn station.
- Free bus rides on four routes, including one linking the Quorn site with both Loughborough Midland (National Rail) and Loughborough Central stations. 

- An enhanced train service (with additional services run by our award-winning diesel railcar) providing opportunities to travel to Loughborough one way by train and one way by historic bus.

Normal train fares apply.  There is no admission charge to this event.


Free buses will run approximately hourly on four routes.

Quorn Station to Loughborough Stations via Main Road (Route 70)  

Direct to Loughborough Midland via Jubilee Way, returning via Loughborough Central and stopping outside the station main entrance

Quorn Station to Loughborough Midland via Barrow upon Soar (Route 60)

Single-deck route to Loughborough Midland via Barrow upon Soar and Cotes.

Walton on the Wolds circular from Quorn via Barrow (Route 65)  

Out via barrow on Soar and Walton on the Wolds, returning via Paudy Crossroads and back through Barrow.

Shelthorpe and Quorn village circular from Quorn (Route 85)     

Via A6 to Shelthorpe traffic lights, up Shelthorpe Road, along Terry Yardley Way and continuing along the A6 Quorn bypass to Waitrose Mountsorrel, returning through Quorn village to Quorn station.

Loughborough: LE11 1RW. On street parking is available but the surrounding roads will be busy.
Quorn: LE12 8AG. Public parking in the field immediately adjacent to the station, £2 per car. Limited free parking for disabled in the station yard.
Rothley: LE7 7LD. There is limited car parking in the station yard.
Leicester North: LE4 3BR. There is limited car parking on the immediate approach to the station.
