Diesel Gala September 2016 Diesel Gala - Poster V2

Join us for a busy gala weekend of intensive running of our heritage diesel fleet, and two special guests, Deltic 55019 “Royal Highland Fusilier" and Class 31 31105.

We will be working the locos to a seriously intensive timetable, only possible on GCR's double track.  We are operating well into Saturday evening with a Beerex, where a range of ales can be sampled on the move.  There will be a combination of double headed and top and tail formations on a variety of services throughout the weekend.

There will be a wide variety of food and drink available at this event. Our renowned griddle car will be in traffic offering a selection of hot and cold meals, from our famous all day breakfasts to our light bite sandwiches. This will operate throughout both days in the Carriage set marked A in the timetable.

At Loughborough, our new addition to this year’s event will be the burger and hot dog stall situated on the platform, and what a better way to wash it down by visiting our ale bar situated alongside.

A great selection of real ales

Beer available on both main train formations (Carriage sets A & B in the timetable) as well as at our ale bar situated in the General Waiting Room at Loughborough.
