Enjoy a journey through the beautiful Leicestershire countryside with us. Details of our timetable and fares are listed below. Trains can be boarded at any of our four stations, with our best value ticket being our "runabout" which allows unlimited travel on our trains on the day of purchase.

September Special Events

We have an interesting and varied range of special events taking place in September in addition to our normal weekend passenger train running.

Steam Punk event - Saturday 28th September [more details]

Great Central Railway would like to transport you back to the Victorian days mixed with industrial, everything clockwork and those pulled by steam for our inaugural steampunk festival for one day only.

Offering the finest assortment of entertainment to amaze and even educate us all. Folk Music and amazing feats of physical skill await you. There will be a market too so you can take a little piece of steampunk home with you.

P-15 Picnic Car Club Rally - Saturday 28th September

Visit us at Quorn & Woodhouse on 28th September and you’ll be able to get up close to a fabulous display of 1940's American classics.

Held just once a year, The P-15 Picnic is the UK’s only gathering of 1946-1948 Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto and Chrysler cars... so this is a rare opportunity to see a whole line-up of these magnificent machines in all their glory. Owners from across the country will be arriving in their cars from around midday onwards.
