These gift vouchers are an ideal birthday, Retirement or Christmas gift.
Persons participating in Drive a Train experiences must be over 18, reasonably fit, capable of standing on a moving engine (steam) for 1 hour, be able to climb vertical steps between the ground and the cab and have good sight and hearing.
The railway operates a strict no alcohol policy for drive a train participants and anyone considered to have consumed alcohol recently (or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs) may be refused access to the footplate (no refunds can be made in these circumstances). If in doubt, please call us.

Drive a Steam Locomotive Gift Voucher - Bronze
Shared with other 'Bronze' customers, the recipient will drive a steam locomotive along the Great Central Main Line between Loughborough and Leicester. Lunch is provided for the 'driver'. One guest ticket is complimentary, other guests will need to buy a train ticket. Tours of locomotive shed and signal box included.
Usually held at weekends and selected mid week dates.
