"Curry Nights" at the Great Central Railway 2021

Your five-course evening meal is served aboard our First Class Restaurant Cars as a steam locomotive takes you on a leisurely journey through Charnwood's glorious countryside. Your meal is served during the journey and there will normally be a pause on Swithland viaduct with its magnificent views across the reservoir to Charnwood Forest.

The train departs from Loughborough Central at 7.30pm returning at approximately 10.00 p.m. Tickets are £47.00 per adult  The price includes the full cost of the train ticket.

The Curry Evenings runs on Wednesday evenings on the following dates:

August: 4th

December: 15th

Our next running day

Passenger trains have now returned to the GCR, running every Saturday and Sunday, and on selected weekdays.

All four stations are due to reopen from Saturday 26th June 2021, with tickets available on the day from Booking Offices.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the railway as we progressively return to normal operation, as the national situation improves.
