Test Car 2

Why not pay a visit to BR Test Car 2 at Quorn Station. The Quorn Wagon and Wagon team will be on-hand to tell the story of this unique coach that was used by Railway Technical Centre at Derby for over 40 years. Information displays inside the coach provide an insight into how and why trains were tested by British Rail, and the guided tour of the coach will include an explanation of the slip/brake test process and demonstrations of the slip coupling operation.
