November Passenger Trains 2019

We are running steam trains on Saturdays and Sundays until 17th November 2019. The regular season concludes with our Last Hurrah of the season gala on 16th and 17th November.

Enjoy a journey through the beautiful Leicestershire countryside with us. Details of our timetable and fares are listed below. Trains can be boarded at any of our four stations, with our best value ticket being our "runabout" which allows unlimited travel on our trains on the day of purchase.

We also have special events running during November:

The Last Hurrah - 16th and 17th November

Remembrance Sunday 10th November 2019.

We remember those who paid the ultimate price for their country with a special service of remembrance.

The service begins at 10.45am on the platform at Loughborough Central station and concludes with a two minute silence at 11 am.

To mark this special day, we hope you will choose to join us for the ceremony, during which a steam loco will be present throughout the service.

The service will be conducted by the staff of the Great Central Railway and will include a hymn, a poem and a bugle player.

Timetable for Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November 2019.

Two steam locomotives and our diesel railcar are due to be in service.

Please note that on Sunday 10th November, the 10:20 departure from Loughborough Central, and the 11:05 departure from Leicester North are due to be steam-hauled.
