Stations & Cafes
The Great Central Railway boasts four stations on its eight mile railway. Each has a different character and each has a buffet or cafe for visitors.
Loughborough Central station (LE11 1RW)
Loughborough is the main station on the line and the Locomotive Shed is based there. It has the atmosphere of a busy main line station. A buffet is on the platform and is open during running days. The headquarters of the railway is based in Lovatt House (LE11 1SL), adjacent to the station, in the former Goods Offices of the original railway.
Quorn & Woodhouse station (LE12 8AW)
Quorn is a country station with a large open station yard used as a base for many of the railway's events. It sports a turntable and the Butler Henderson Cafe Bistro.
Rothley station (LE7 7LD)
Rothley is a station with an enclosed station yard giving the real atmosphere of a country station. The Charnwood Forest Garden Railway and the Carriage and Wagon Works are based here and the Ellis's Tea Room.
Leicester North station (LE4 3BR)
Leicester North is a new station built just south of the original Belgrave & Birstall station.
