Join the Great Central Railway and Deltic Preservation Society for a special weekend celebrating the return of D9015 Tulyar, hauling its first passenger train in almost 30 years on the UK’s only double track heritage main line.

Experience D9015 in action during a high-mileage diesel weekend, with up to 96 miles of running on Saturday and 64 miles on Sunday.
We’ll be keeping you well-fed and refreshed throughout the day! Our Refreshment Car will be serving real ales, a range of hot and cold drinks, snacks and a selection of beers and Loughborough Central Station will have a BBQ serving everything from hot dogs to burgers- with all the toppings!
The Deltic Preservation Society will have a stand on the platform at Loughborough Central, where you can learn more about D9015 Tulyar, chat with volunteers and discover what’s involved in preserving Britain’s diesel heritage.
Our DMU will be running services from Rothley Brook, making it easier to hop on and off and explore more of the railway throughout the day.
