Join us for our annual Beer, Cider & Gin Festival, with a number of exciting new features for this year it’s going to be an event you don’t want to miss!
This event is FREE however you can purchase train tickets to travel between stations and enjoy the range of beers we have to offer.
Although our Beer Festival begins at 12:00pm, you can start your day early and enjoy a morning trip on the train or a nice hot tea in the refreshment rooms or cafes – just be sure to check the train timetable and station opening hours below to plan your visit.
Heart of Oak are a Leicestershire based four piece, semi acoustic, covers band playing classic feel good hits from the 60’s to today. They will be performing Friday evening from 7:30pm until late in the Quorn & Woodhouse Marquee!
Analogue Haze will be performing live and bringing all the nostalgic 80’s tunes to Quorn & Woodhouse Station at 8pm until 10:30pm, on Saturday.
The Universals will be performing at Quorn & Woodhouse Station from 3pm until 5:45pm on Saturday.
Luke is a musician from Nottingham who will performing everything from 60’s classics to the 90’s noughties at Rothley Station from 5:30pm until 8pm, on Saturday.
Jenny, a local singer based in Leicester who will be performing a range of pop songs on Saturday afternoon at Quorn & Woodhouse Station from 12pm until 13:45.
Loughborough Central Station will be hosting the GCR Burger Stall where you can indulge and line your stomachs in between your pints and your other chosen tipples during the Friday and Saturday of our Beer Festival!
Quorn & Woodhouse Station will have a variety of food vendors including The Sausage Box on both Friday and Saturday. Fancy a slice of pizza to pair with your drink? Sever’s Pizza will be serving up authentic wood fired pizzas on Friday, and Saturday will see SPUDS of Shepshed offering warm and hearty jacket potatoes!
Rothley Station will have a selection of freshly made cobs, sausage rolls, pork pies and snacks- perfect to munch on whilst catching up with friends over a cold one! Friday and Saturday at Rothley Station will also have an Ultimate Hotdogs stand with all the condiments and add on’s to complete your perfect hotdog!
On board on selected heritage trains we will also be serving a range of food for you to enjoy as you travel between stations. The Griddle Car will have breakfast baps and light refreshments on offer and the Bar Car will be serving a selection of freshly made cobs, sausage rolls, pork pies and snacks.
A full line timetable will operate from late morning, with all bars open until late. Live music from Heart of Oak will be filling the marquee at Quorn & Woodhouse throughout the evening, providing the perfect place to come and relax after the weeks work, and start off the weekend in style, with a selection from our 70 beers and 30 ciders available at the Tin Shed bar. If music is not your thing, don’t panic, our bars at Loughborough and Rothley will also be open. Food will be available from all of our sites, so grab something delicious and make a whole night of it.
Very similar to Friday, however Saturday will see live music on during the afternoon at Quorn and Rothley as well as into the evening! Solo artists through to 4 piece bands, there will be a genre for everyone to enjoy, alongside an excellent selection of chilled ales. Trains will again run late into the night, to ensure everyone can get back to where they started from.
