At this year’s staff Summer Party, we were proud to launch the Great Central Railway’s new Long Service Awards – a way of recognising the incredible dedication and commitment shown by our volunteers and staff.
The GCR simply wouldn’t be what it is today without the countless hours given by so many of you, and it’s only right that this contribution is celebrated. As this is the very first year of the awards, there has been some catching up to do! In 2025, certificates are being presented to over 120 people who have reached milestones of 20, 30, 40 and even 50 years of service. From 2026 onwards, those with 10 years’ service will also be included.
Congratulations, and thank you to everyone for your many years of dedication to the Great Central Railway.
