Fear not, we’ve not been drawing from a hidden still at the back of the Loughborough Loco Shed, Great Central Railway has teamed up with the team behind the award winning Multum Gin Parvo, Rutland Gin to create a limited run of two tasty tipples to keep you warm this winter.

Great Central Railway Trackside Gin 

Crafted in honour of Britain’s great railway heritage, this juniper-led dry gin celebrates the Leicestershire landscape that surrounds the Great Central Railway. Bright citrus undertones and aromatic herbal notes are drawn from carefully selected British botanicals, echoing the wild nature found along the Great Central Railway line.

Traditionally distilled in copper pot stills, the gin is gently rested in virgin oak barrels, imparting soft hints of vanilla and a wisp of smoke to complement the bold juniper finish, resulting in a finely balanced, hand-crafted dry gin.

A superb companion for any adventure, it makes a cracking gin and tonic—perfect to enjoy while savouring the romance and rhythm of a classic train journey.

Great Central Railway Trackside Spiced Rum

Rooted in the spirit of railway tradition, this richly spiced rum is inspired by the heat, rhythm and craftsmanship of the Great Central line. Beginning with a classic aged Caribbean rum, we enrich its character with a carefully balanced blend of botanicals, cocoa nibs, vanilla, citrus peel, warming cinnamon, black pepper and charred sweet, pointed pepper, infusing the spirit with a gentle smoky sweetness reminiscent of steam, oak and iron. The result is a bold yet harmonious handcrafted spiced rum, full of depth and character.

Enjoy it neat, over ice or with your favourite mixer, and savour a taste of tradition shaped by fire, smoke and the golden age of rail.

Each 70cl bottle is priced at £55 and has been created as a limited first run and is available to order online with in person collection from our Loughborough Gift Shop only due to the limitations of Christmas postage.
