Celebrating Long Service at the GCR 2026!

At this year’s staff Summer Party, we were proud to continue presenting the Great Central Railway’s Long Service Awards – a way of recognising the incredible dedication and commitment shown by our volunteers and staff.

The GCR simply wouldn’t be what it is today without the countless hours given by so many of you, and it’s only right that this contribution is celebrated. Previously, the award was given to people who reached milestones of 20, 30, 40, and 50 years of service, and this year we included those with 10 years’ service too!

Congratulations, and thank you to everyone for your many years of dedication to the Great Central Railway.
