Celebrity railway historian and passionate heritage enthusiast has given his backing to Reunification.
He spent two days in Leicestershire discovering the epic project, watching ground investigation work underway and enjoying the unique atmosphere of the GCR stations. Three parts of Reunification are completed, planning consent has been granted to continue and there’s two and a half million pounds banked thanks to you.
“We are delighted Tim has joined the Reunification cause. We’ve been able to fly the flag for the project to people living nearby and railway enthusiasts but we’re hoping his profile and enthusiasm will help us reach new audiences even further afield. We have a lot of fundraising and hard work ahead and we need all the support we can get!”
Malcolm Holmes, Great Central Railway General Manager
“This is truly one of the most exciting preservation adventures in Great Britain today. These two railways are going to combine to create what is practically an intercity heritage line, showcasing the development of Britain’s railways through different time periods. It’s a people powered project and I hope I can bring new supporters to get behind it.”
Tim Dunn
The railway expects to showcase Tim’s Reunification film as a treat over the Christmas period on its YouTube channel GCROfficial. Meanwhile, your kind donations are vital to keep us progressing. Click below to donate.
